VIP LOUNGE
In the center of this project there is a new technology to engage people and offer them a new customer experience: beacon technology.
iBeacon/Beacon technology allows Mobile Apps to understand their position on a micro-local scale, and deliver hyper-contextual content to users based on location.
With One Luxury Destination App and beacon technology, in Montanapoleone District tourists and guests can receive contents on their smartphone. The contents informs people that in MontaNapoleone Vip Lounge there are services and privileges for tourists and registered customers.
Beacon technology works into the Vip Lounge too. It welcomes to guests and collects useful data.
GEOFENCE
Geofence is used to define special area in the shopping district, near "via Montenapoleone". Moreover, Geofence was used simply for registering how many possible guests enter into the VIP Lounge area, for triggering content inside the mobile app.

The guest, after being engaged in the downtown area of Milan, was able to receive an evening agenda and a coupon with which to receive a gift.
The evening's data, collected through beacons, were used to create a database. Thanks to this, it was possible to implement ad hoc campaigns for the individual guest later.
